Managing projects efficiently is crucial for team collaboration and timely delivery. The KaryaKeeper dashboard provides a structured and intuitive approach to project management. This section provides a comprehensive platform to create, update, manage, delete, duplicate, and filter projects effortlessly. Here’s a detailed guide to managing projects efficiently

1. Creating a New Project

To create a new project, follow these steps:
  • Go to the “Projects” section – Click on the “Projects” tab from the left-side navigation menu.
  • Start the project creation process – Click on the “+ Create” (Add New Project) button to initiate the process.
  • Enter project details – Fill in the required information: 
    • Project Name – Define a clear and descriptive project title. 
    • Project Price – Specify the project’s estimated cost or budget. 
    • Start & Due Dates – Set the project duration. 
    • Client – Assign the project to a client if applicable. 
    • Project Owner – Select the responsible project owner. 
    • Project Category – Choose a relevant category to organize the project (e.g., Internal, External) 
    • Project Type: Select the project type (e.g., Billable, Non-Billable).  
    • Tags: Add relevant tags to classify the project for easier searching and filtering. 
    • Status – Set the project’s current status (e.g., On Going, Completed). 
    • Description – Provide a brief summary or objective of the project. 
    • Team Members – Assign members involved in the project. 
  • Save the project – Click on “Create” to confirm and create the project. The project will now be visible on the Project list page. 

2. Editing/Updating a Project

If you need to modify project details, you can easily update them using the edit feature.

  • Go to the “Projects” section – Find the project you want to edit.
  • Click on the “Edit” icon – Open the project details by selecting the “Edit” icon.
  • Modify the necessary information – You can update any of the following:
    • Project name
    • Description
    • Assigned team members
    • Project status
    • Project type
    • Tags
    • Start and end dates
  • Save the changes – Click on “Update” to apply the changes. The updated information will reflect in the system.

3. Managing Projects

Stay on top of your projects by managing them effectively:

  • Monitor Progress – Track project completion status through visual progress indicators.
  • Reassign Team Members – Modify the team members if required.
  • Adjust Deadlines – Update project timelines to ensure timely delivery.
  • Change Project Status – Switch between statuses such as “On Going,” “Completed,” or “On Hold.”

4. Deleting a Project

To remove a project that is no longer required:

  • Go to the “Projects” section – Locate the project you want to delete.
  • Click on the “Delete” icon – Select the “Delete” icon to remove the project.
  • Confirm deletion – A confirmation prompt will appear. Click “Yes, delete it!” to permanently delete the project.

Note: Deleted projects cannot be restored, so ensure the project is no longer needed before deleting.

5. Duplicating a Project

To save time and replicate project structures:

  • Go to the “Projects” section – Locate the project you want to duplicate.
  • Click on the “Duplicate” icon – Select the “Duplicate” icon to create a copy of the project.
  • Confirm to create the duplicated project – Click “Yes, Duplicate it!” to create a duplicate version of the project.
  • Update the duplicated project details – Modify the necessary fields, such as the project name, start date, or team members.

6. Filtering and Searching Projects

KaryaKeeper offers a powerful filtering and search system that helps you easily locate and manage projects.

A. Filtering Projects

You can filter projects based on the following criteria:

  • Project Status: Filter projects by status such as:
    • On going
    • Completed
    • On Hold
  • Project Category: Filter based on the project category to categorize projects effectively.
  • Project Type: Sort projects based on their type (e.g., internal, client-based, etc.).
  • Tags: Use project tags to group similar projects or add additional context.

B. Searching Projects

Easily search for specific projects using the search bar:

  • Search by Project Name: Quickly locate a project by entering the project’s name.
  • Search by Project Owner: Identify projects by searching for the name of the assigned project owner.

7. Best Practices for Project Management

Define Clear Project Goals: Establish clear objectives and scope before initiating a project.

  • Regularly Monitor Progress: Use filters and search options to stay updated with project statuses.
